Koftas
Ingredients
- 1/4 kgmince (minced meat)
- to tastesalt
- a littleoil (for frying)
Masala (grind to a fine paste)
- 1 smallonion
- 1 tbspdry coriander
- 3/4 tspjeera (cumin)
- 1/4 tspturmeric powder
- 2dry chillies
- 1green chilli
- 1/2 piece (about 2 inches)cinnamon
- 2cardamom
- 4cloves
- a littlefresh coriander
Instructions
- Wash the mince and let the water drain completely. Take a little portion at a time and squeeze it tight to remove the remaining water; continue with the rest of the mince.
- Add the ground masala paste and salt to the mince, and mix well.
- Shape into meatballs and place them in a pan. Cover with a lid and cook on slow fire.
- When the koftas are firm and stiff, turn each one to the other side. Let them cook until the water dries completely. Continue until all are done.
- Fry the cooked koftas in a little oil until browned.
- Enjoy with green chutney, lime and onion rings.
