Tariwala Murga (Chicken in Gravy) to review

Ingredients

  • 1 kgchicken
  • 2onions, chopped
  • 8 to 10garlic cloves
  • 1 small pieceginger
  • 2 largetomatoes
  • 1 1/2 tspsalt
  • 3/4 tspturmeric powder
  • 1/2 tspred chillies powder
  • 1 tspmixed spices (garam masala)
  • 3-4 tbspbutter
  • to garnishcoriander leaves
  • 3 cupswater

Instructions

  1. Heat butter in a pan, add chopped onions.
  2. Add pounded garlic and ginger, fry a little.
  3. Add chopped and mashed tomatoes and dry ingredients.
  4. Add chicken pieces and toss it all.
  5. Let it cook on slow fire, stirring often.
  6. Sprinkle water to avoid smoking — chicken will cook along with the masala.
  7. When chicken is cooked, add 3 cups water and let it boil.
  8. Let it simmer for the gravy to absorb flavour.
