Ingredients
- 1 kgchicken
- 2onions, chopped
- 8 to 10garlic cloves
- 1 small pieceginger
- 2 largetomatoes
- 1 1/2 tspsalt
- 3/4 tspturmeric powder
- 1/2 tspred chillies powder
- 1 tspmixed spices (garam masala)
- 3-4 tbspbutter
- to garnishcoriander leaves
- 3 cupswater
Instructions
- Heat butter in a pan, add chopped onions.
- Add pounded garlic and ginger, fry a little.
- Add chopped and mashed tomatoes and dry ingredients.
- Add chicken pieces and toss it all.
- Let it cook on slow fire, stirring often.
- Sprinkle water to avoid smoking — chicken will cook along with the masala.
- When chicken is cooked, add 3 cups water and let it boil.
- Let it simmer for the gravy to absorb flavour.
