Chole to review

Ingredients

  • as neededboiled channa (chickpeas)
  • 1 bigonion, cut
  • 1/2 tsptej patta (bay leaf)
  • 1 bigtomato, scraped
  • 1/2 tspginger garlic chilli paste
  • 1/4 tspchilli powder
  • 3/4 tspcoriander powder
  • 1/4 tsphaldi (turmeric) powder
  • 1/4 tspjeera (cumin) powder
  • to tastejaggery
  • to tastetamarind pulp
  • to tastechopped coriander

Instructions

  1. Boil channa.
  2. Cut 1 big onion. Add tej patta in oil and fry onion till golden brown.
  3. Add 1 big tomato, scrape and fry.
  4. Add ginger garlic chilli paste and fry till all is cooked.
  5. Add 1/4 tsp chilli powder, 3/4 tsp coriander powder, 1/4 tsp haldi powder and 1/4 tsp jeera powder. Fry.
  6. Add channa and mix it well, then add jaggery and tamarind pulp.
  7. Finish with chopped coriander.
