Ingredients
- as neededboiled channa (chickpeas)
- 1 bigonion, cut
- 1/2 tsptej patta (bay leaf)
- 1 bigtomato, scraped
- 1/2 tspginger garlic chilli paste
- 1/4 tspchilli powder
- 3/4 tspcoriander powder
- 1/4 tsphaldi (turmeric) powder
- 1/4 tspjeera (cumin) powder
- to tastejaggery
- to tastetamarind pulp
- to tastechopped coriander
Instructions
- Boil channa.
- Cut 1 big onion. Add tej patta in oil and fry onion till golden brown.
- Add 1 big tomato, scrape and fry.
- Add ginger garlic chilli paste and fry till all is cooked.
- Add 1/4 tsp chilli powder, 3/4 tsp coriander powder, 1/4 tsp haldi powder and 1/4 tsp jeera powder. Fry.
- Add channa and mix it well, then add jaggery and tamarind pulp.
- Finish with chopped coriander.
