Dahi Wada to review

Ingredients

  • 1 cupurad dal
  • 1 inch pieceginger
  • 1 handfulfinely sliced coriander leaves
  • 2green chillies
  • 1 tspbaking powder
  • 2 cupschurned curds
  • 1 tspgaram masala
  • 1 tsproasted and ground cumin seeds
  • 1/4 tsppepper powder
  • to tastesalt
  • to tastechilli powder

Instructions

  1. Soak urad dal overnight.
  2. Next morning, drain and grind to a fine paste.
  3. Mix in baking powder, chillies, ginger, and coriander leaves.
  4. Add salt and chilli powder, then mix.
  5. Shape into round balls and deep fry till golden brown.
  6. Drain, then soak the wadas in water for 15 minutes.
  7. Squeeze out the water and place in a deep dish.
  8. Pour cold beaten curds (sweet) over the wadas.
  9. Sprinkle garam masala, pepper, ground cumin seeds, and chilli powder over the top before serving.
